These terms cover your use of crownedbybrooke.com and anything you buy here. The site is operated by CrownedByBrooke, LLC. By using the site, you're agreeing to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

1. About this site

Crowned by Brooke is a personal blog and shop about home remodeling and decorating. I share what I've learned renovating our own homes, along with products I use and recommend.

2. This is not professional advice

I am not a licensed contractor, architect, engineer, designer, electrician, plumber, or building inspector. Everything on this site is my personal experience and opinion. It is general information, not professional advice, and it is not a substitute for hiring qualified, licensed professionals.

Renovation work carries real risk of injury, property damage, and expense. Building codes, permit requirements, and safe practice vary enormously by location and by house. Something that worked in my home may be wrong, unsafe, or illegal in yours.

Before you act on anything you read here, consult licensed professionals, confirm your local codes and permit requirements, and verify anything that affects structure, electrical, plumbing, gas, or anything load-bearing. If something feels beyond your skill level, it probably is.

You are responsible for your own project and your own decisions. I'm not liable for what happens as a result of following anything on this site.

3. Product recommendations and affiliate links

I recommend products I've used or would use in my own home. Many links are affiliate links, meaning I earn a commission if you buy, at no additional cost to you. That commission never changes what I recommend.

I don't manufacture or sell physical products, and I don't control the retailers I link to. Prices, availability, specifications, and shipping are theirs, not mine. Verify details on the retailer's own page before buying, because product information changes and links can go stale.

Any issue with a product you bought through a link, including damage, delays, returns, or warranty, is between you and the retailer.

4. Digital products

Digital products sold here, such as planners, workbooks, and guides, are licensed to you, not sold outright. When you buy one, you get a personal, non-transferable license to use it for your own home projects.

You may use it for your own personal projects and print copies for your own use.

You may not resell, share, distribute, or give it away. You may not post it publicly or upload it anywhere others can download it. You may not use it commercially, including with your own clients, without written permission from me.

Refunds. Because digital products are delivered instantly and can't be returned, all sales are final. If a file is broken, won't download, or isn't what was described, contact me within 14 days and I'll fix it or refund you. I'd much rather you be happy than hold your money.

Delivery. Files are delivered by email or download link right after purchase. If it doesn't arrive, check your spam folder first, then contact me.

5. My content

The writing, photographs, videos, graphics, and designs on this site are mine and are protected by copyright.

You may share a link to my posts, or quote a short excerpt with clear credit and a link back.

You may not copy full posts, republish my writing, use my photographs, or use my content to train AI models or generate derivative content, without my written permission.

Some images on this site belong to the brands and makers named alongside them and are used with permission. Those images are theirs, not mine to license.

If you'd like to use something, just ask. I'm reasonable about it.

6. Your conduct

Please don't use this site to break the law, harass anyone, scrape or copy the site in bulk, or interfere with how it works. I can restrict access if you do.

7. Links to other sites

I link to retailers, brands, and other blogs. I don't control those sites and I'm not responsible for their content, their products, or their privacy practices. Once you leave this site, their terms apply.

8. No guarantees

I keep this site accurate and current as best I can, but I can't promise everything is complete, correct, or up to date at all times. Prices change, products get discontinued, and my opinions evolve. The site is provided as is, without warranties of any kind.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, CrownedByBrooke, LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this site, its content, or anything you buy here, including construction costs, property damage, injury, or lost time or money.

If I am found liable for something, my total liability is limited to the amount you paid me, if anything, in the twelve months before the claim.

Some states don't allow certain limitations, so parts of this may not apply to you.

11. Changes

I may update these terms. Changes take effect when posted, and the date at the top will show when. Continuing to use the site means you accept the current version.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Georgia, and you agree to that jurisdiction.
